What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the impact of an 8-week elastic band resistance training program on physical performance in female football players across U15, U19, and Senior levels. Participants will engage in bi-weekly training sessions lasting 20 minutes, focusing on six specific exercises. The study will assess various physical performance parameters before and after the intervention to determine the effectiveness of the training. Randomization will assign participants to either an experimental group, which undergoes the training, or a control group, which only participates in assessments.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are female football players aged U15, U19, or Senior level who are part of a competitive football club.
Not a fit: Patients who do not play football or are not part of a competitive football club may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this training program could enhance knee strength and overall physical performance in female football players.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes with resistance training in improving athletic performance, suggesting potential success for this approach.
