What this trial studies
This study evaluates the Journey of Transformation-Native Youth Health Leadership Program, designed for tenth-grade students attending off-reservation boarding schools. The program incorporates traditional storytelling, cultural arts, and leadership skills to promote healthy decision-making regarding substance use and sexual health. Participants will engage in a series of health sessions and complete surveys to assess their progress in reducing substance use and improving health behaviors over a year. The curriculum aims to connect students with their cultural heritage while fostering leadership and healthy relationships.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are tenth-grade students attending off-reservation boarding schools.
Not a fit: Patients who are not in the tenth grade or do not attend off-reservation boarding schools may not benefit from this study.
