What this trial studies
This study focuses on adapting the CAP questionnaire, originally designed to assess nociplastic pain in musculoskeletal disorders, for Turkish-speaking populations. It aims to evaluate the cultural relevance, validity, and reliability of this adapted version among individuals suffering from osteoarthritis, back pain, and fibromyalgia. By addressing the unique cultural context, the study seeks to ensure that the questionnaire accurately reflects the experiences of Turkish patients with chronic pain. Participants will complete the questionnaire to help researchers understand the nuances of nociplastic pain in this demographic.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old with a diagnosis of osteoarthritis, back pain, or fibromyalgia.
Not a fit: Patients with uncontrolled or clinically significant diseases, as well as pregnant women, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a reliable tool for better assessing and managing chronic pain in Turkish-speaking patients.
How similar studies have performed: While the CAP questionnaire has been utilized in other contexts, this specific cultural adaptation for Turkish speakers is a novel approach.
