What this trial studies
This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Cervical Retraction Exercise and Facet Oscillatory Mobilization in patients suffering from chronic mechanical neck pain. It will involve a randomized control trial design with 32 participants divided into two groups of 16 each. The primary outcomes will focus on improvements in neck disability and range of motion. Participants will be assessed based on their neck pain severity and disability index scores.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 35-50 with chronic mechanical neck pain lasting more than six weeks and specific disability scores.
Not a fit: Patients with cervical radiculopathy, severe neurological disorders, or those who have had previous cervical surgery may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective non-surgical treatment options for chronic neck pain.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown varying degrees of success with similar therapeutic approaches, but this specific comparison is novel.
