What this trial studies

This interventional study aims to evaluate the cognitive, dual-task, and physical effects of six different training programs on healthy older adults. Participants will engage in various activities, including immersive exergames and complex cognitive-motor tasks, to determine which combination yields the best outcomes. The study will involve pre- and post-tests to assess improvements and retention tests three months after the training. A total of 168 participants will be recruited, with training sessions held at multiple locations in the Paris area.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are healthy older adults over 60 years old who engage in minimal physical activity and have a good cognitive baseline.

Not a fit: Patients with major health issues or those who frequently play video games or exergames may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance cognitive function and physical fitness in older adults, potentially improving their quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: While few studies have compared similar combined training approaches, this study aims to broaden the understanding of effective programs for older adults, making it a novel investigation.
