What this trial studies

This multicenter cohort study focuses on patients diagnosed with aortic valve disease, including aortic insufficiency and aortic stenosis, during hospitalization. The study aims to evaluate prognostic risk factors and construct a predictive model to guide clinical decision-making. By following patients over time, the study will assess all-cause mortality and cardiovascular events as primary and secondary outcomes, respectively.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with aortic valve disease.

Not a fit: Patients who have undergone aortic valve replacement at baseline will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the risk factors associated with aortic valve diseases, leading to improved patient management and outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully identified risk factors and prognostic models for cardiovascular diseases, suggesting that this approach has potential for meaningful insights.
