What this trial studies
This observational study aims to validate a novel Morphology-Voltage-P-wave Score (MVP Score) for diagnosing left ventricular diastolic dysfunction in patients suffering from hypertension. Researchers will gather demographic, clinical, laboratory, and echocardiographic data from participants who have undergone transthoracic echocardiography. The collected data will be analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics v26 to determine the effectiveness of the MVP Score in identifying heart dysfunction. The study focuses on patients with essential hypertension while excluding those with various heart conditions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals diagnosed with essential hypertension.
Not a fit: Patients with secondary or resistant hypertension, or those with significant heart conditions, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a more accurate diagnostic tool for identifying heart dysfunction in hypertensive patients, leading to better management and treatment.
How similar studies have performed: While similar diagnostic approaches have been explored, the MVP Score represents a novel method that has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
