Analysis of exosomes and single-cell data in gastric cardia cancer
Integrative Analysis of Exosome-Mediated Single-Cell Transcriptomics and Proteomics in Gastric Cardia Cancer

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to analyze the heterogeneity of gastric cardia cancer by utilizing a case-control design. Patients with confirmed gastric cancer will be matched with controls based on age and gender. Researchers will collect clinical information and biological samples, including serum and tissue, to perform exosome sequencing, proteomics, and single-cell RNA sequencing. The goal is to identify specific biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets, which could lead to the development of new diagnostic tools and treatment strategies.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older with a confirmed pathological diagnosis of gastric cancer.
Not a fit: Patients who have undergone gastrointestinal surgery within the past year or those with certain digestive diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with gastric cardia cancer.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of integrating exosome analysis with single-cell transcriptomics is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in other cancer types, suggesting potential for success.
