What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to enhance family resilience by improving communication and the parent-child bond through a structured play therapy workshop. Participants will complete questionnaires and engage in clinical interviews before and after a four-session workshop led by trained practitioners. The workshop focuses on emotional responsiveness and effective emotional regulation strategies, with observers documenting interactions between parents and children. The goal is to assess the effectiveness of this intervention in fostering a supportive family environment.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are parents evacuated from war zones who have children aged 3 to 6.
Not a fit: Parents who have not been evacuated from war zones or whose children are younger than 3 or older than 6 may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the emotional well-being and resilience of families affected by war.
How similar studies have performed: While the integration of play therapy and narrative therapy is a promising approach, this specific intervention targeting families affected by war is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
