What this trial studies

This observational study aims to translate and validate the AdT-Physio scale into French, assessing its effectiveness as a tool for evaluating adherence to physiotherapy among cystic fibrosis patients. Participants will complete the French version of the AdT-Physio scale, along with the Brief Cope and GSES questionnaires. The study focuses on young adults aged 16 to 21, a demographic known for low adherence to physiotherapy treatments. By validating this scale, the study seeks to provide physiotherapists with a reliable method to evaluate treatment adherence and patient perceptions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are cystic fibrosis patients over 18 years old who are not lung transplant recipients and can complete the questionnaires.

Not a fit: Patients who are under 18 years old or have undergone a lung transplant may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the management of cystic fibrosis by improving adherence to physiotherapy, thereby potentially increasing patients' quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have successfully validated similar adherence assessment tools in other languages, indicating potential for success with this French version.
