Vaccination coordination for heart failure patients against RSV and influenza
Study on the Impact of Coordinated Immunizations Against RSV and Influenza on the Prognosis in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure.
This study tests if giving heart failure patients their RSV and flu shots during cardiology visits helps them stay healthier compared to getting vaccinated on their own.

What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of coordinated vaccination against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and influenza on the prognosis of patients with chronic heart failure. Participants will be randomized into two groups: one receiving vaccinations during cardiology visits and the other following standard vaccination recommendations. The study aims to analyze whether this coordinated approach leads to better health outcomes for these patients. All vaccinations will be administered using approved vaccines in accordance with EU regulations.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 years old diagnosed with chronic heart failure who have not previously been vaccinated against RSV or influenza.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of anaphylactic reactions to vaccinations or those who have already received vaccinations against RSV or influenza may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the health outcomes and quality of life for patients with chronic heart failure.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on vaccination in heart failure patients, this coordinated approach specifically targeting RSV and influenza is relatively novel.
