What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of virtual reality-based exercises compared to routine physical therapy for patients suffering from chronic low back pain. Participants will engage in virtual reality exercises designed to address pain, functional disability, and fear avoidance beliefs associated with their condition. The study will assess the outcomes of both treatment approaches to determine which is more beneficial for improving patient health and quality of life.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals experiencing chronic low back pain lasting more than 12 weeks without any associated neurological or systemic diseases.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of spinal trauma, neurological diseases, or those who are pregnant may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide a novel and effective treatment option for managing chronic low back pain.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of virtual reality in physical therapy is a growing field, this specific approach to treating chronic low back pain is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in previous studies.
