What this trial studies

This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of a musical intervention combined with non-invasive brain stimulation in patients with neurological conditions such as disorders of consciousness and stroke. Participants will be randomly assigned to different music-listening groups to assess the impact on neuroplasticity and clinical outcomes. The study also aims to measure the effects of this intervention on caregivers' psychological well-being. Primary outcomes will include clinical observations and neurophysiological data collected at various stages of the intervention.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults over 18 years old who have post-stroke aphasia, neglect, or disorders of consciousness.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of neurological or psychiatric diseases, previous strokes, or auditory injuries may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance recovery and improve quality of life for patients with neurological disorders.

How similar studies have performed: While the combination of music and brain stimulation is a novel approach, similar studies have shown promising results in enhancing recovery in neurological patients.
