What this trial studies
This observational study aims to improve treatment strategies for adults with rare cancers by utilizing comprehensive molecular profiling. Participants will be stratified based on their unique tumor biology, and treatment decisions will be made in a multidisciplinary molecular tumor board setting. The study continuously recruits patients with metastatic or locally advanced rare cancers that lack curative therapy options. By focusing on rare cancer types, the study seeks to enhance personalized medicine approaches in oncology.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults diagnosed with rare cancers or rare subtypes of more common cancers that are metastatic or locally advanced and have no curative therapy available.
Not a fit: Patients with severe neurological or psychiatric disorders that prevent them from providing informed consent may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to more effective and tailored treatment options for patients with rare cancers.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing molecular profiling for cancer treatment have shown promising results, indicating that this approach is both relevant and potentially effective.
Eligibility criteria
