What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a digital training platform designed to enhance the implementation of the FOCUS mobile health application for individuals with serious mental illness. Participants will use the FOCUS app while receiving coaching from clinicians trained through this new digital platform. The study will take place across three community mental health centers in New Hampshire and Missouri, focusing on improving access to evidence-based mental healthcare. The goal is to determine if this approach can yield similar positive outcomes as previous studies of the FOCUS system.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, or schizoaffective disorder.
Not a fit: Patients who plan to move or discontinue services at the participating community mental health center within the next three months may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve access to effective mental health management tools for patients with serious mental illnesses.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown success with similar mobile health interventions, indicating potential for positive outcomes in this approach.
