What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the 'Consultations Jeunes Consommateurs' (CJC) in France, which provide specialized services for young people facing addiction issues. The study will involve multiple CJCs across the country, focusing on the experiences and satisfaction levels of both users and their caregivers. By collecting longitudinal data, the research seeks to identify factors influencing the evolution of addiction among youth and the overall impact of these services. The study will also explore the demographics of users and their families to ensure a representative sample.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include young individuals aged 12 to 25 who are seeking their first consultation at a CJC.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to communicate effectively in French or cannot be reached by phone may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved strategies for early intervention and support for young people struggling with addiction.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been descriptive studies on CJCs, this longitudinal approach is novel and has not been previously tested.
