What this trial studies

This observational study aims to explore the multidimensional profile of individuals suffering from chronic low back pain (cLBP) by assessing the relationships between disability, fear avoidance beliefs, physical performance, and quality of life. Participants aged 18-50 with cLBP will undergo evaluations using various standardized tools, including the Oswestry Disability Index and the Short Form-12 for quality of life. Physical performance will be measured through tests assessing trunk endurance, functional mobility, and balance. The study seeks to provide insights into how these factors interact and affect the overall well-being of individuals with chronic low back pain.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18-50 who have experienced chronic low back pain for at least three months.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of spinal surgery, other specific back conditions, or those who are pregnant or obese may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management strategies for chronic low back pain, enhancing patients' quality of life.

How similar studies have performed: While this study explores established relationships, similar studies have shown varying degrees of success in understanding the complexities of chronic low back pain.
