What this trial studies
This observational study aims to investigate the varying risk factors and outcomes associated with breast cancer among individuals in Florida. It involves collecting biospecimens, surgical tissue, and survey data from patients with BIRADS classifications 0-5 who are seen at designated breast radiology clinics. The study will include both men and women aged 18 and older who are new patients at the participating centers. By analyzing this data, researchers hope to gain insights into the reasons behind different breast cancer risks and outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are men and women aged 18 and older who have been classified with BIRADS 0-5 and are new patients at the participating breast radiology clinics.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years of age or those unable to complete the survey will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of breast cancer risk factors, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in understanding breast cancer risk factors through similar observational approaches, indicating that this methodology is both relevant and potentially impactful.
