What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the impact of diabetic foot care training on the foot care behaviors of patients undergoing hemodialysis. It is a randomized controlled experimental study involving 64 diabetic hemodialysis patients at a dialysis center. The training is designed to educate patients on effective foot care practices to reduce the risk of diabetic foot complications, which can lead to hospitalization and amputation. Data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and non-parametric methods to assess the effectiveness of the intervention.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old who have a diagnosis of diabetes and are currently receiving hemodialysis treatment.
Not a fit: Patients who are not willing to participate or have communication barriers may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this training could significantly reduce the incidence of diabetic foot complications among hemodialysis patients.
