What this trial studies

This is a descriptive, cross-sectional review of a hospital stroke registry collected using the RES-Q platform at a medium-complexity institution in Villavicencio. Demographic data, clinical features, imaging results, treatment times, and discharge outcomes will be exported to Excel and summarized with descriptive statistics. All registry entries are reviewed monthly by a scientific committee to support quality improvement, standardize care, and spot delays in treatment. The analysis aims to identify patterns of care, measure adherence to guidelines, and highlight opportunities to improve stroke outcomes in the region.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Adults admitted to the participating hospitals with a clinical diagnosis of stroke and CT findings compatible with stroke are the intended group for the registry.

Not a fit: Patients with traumatic brain injury, children, or people treated outside the participating hospitals are unlikely to benefit from this registry's findings.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this work could help reduce treatment delays and standardize care in Villavicencio, leading to better recovery for stroke patients.

How similar studies have performed: Similar stroke registries in other countries have improved quality of care and treatment timeliness, but this approach is new for the Colombian Orinoco region.
