What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of a resilience-based rehabilitation program for patients who have experienced Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or an acute coronary event. It focuses on enhancing psychological resilience to help individuals cope with the stress associated with cardiovascular diseases. The program includes multidisciplinary rehabilitation efforts that address both physical and psychological needs, aiming to improve overall quality of life and psychosocial behavior. Participants will undergo resilience training to better manage stress and emotional triggers related to their condition.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 who have experienced Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or an acute coronary event within the last six months.
Not a fit: Patients with acute intercurrent illnesses or insufficient knowledge of German may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the psychological well-being and recovery outcomes for patients with heart disease.
How similar studies have performed: While resilience training in cardiac rehabilitation is a growing area of interest, this specific approach is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in similar studies.
