Registry of young adults with ischemic stroke in China
Stroke Registration of Young Adults in China
This study is trying to gather information from 3,000 young adults in China who have had their first stroke to see how they recover and if there are any signs that could predict a future stroke.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a registry of 3000 young adults aged 18 to 45 who have experienced their first acute ischemic stroke in China. The study will analyze the prognosis and recurrence rates of stroke among different subtypes of ischemic stroke in this population. Additionally, it seeks to identify potential biomarkers that could predict stroke recurrence. By understanding the unique characteristics and outcomes of young stroke patients, the study aims to improve prevention strategies and reduce the burden of stroke in this demographic.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are young adults aged 18 to 45 who have had a confirmed first-ever acute ischemic stroke.
Not a fit: Patients with silent strokes or those unable to provide informed consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to better prevention and management strategies for young adults at risk of stroke recurrence.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on stroke in older populations, this specific focus on young adults and the exploration of stroke subtypes and biomarkers is relatively novel.
