What this trial studies
The Atopy Registry aims to collect standardized data on patients with atopic disorders to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of systemic therapies. It focuses on patients suffering from multiple atopic conditions, such as food allergies, atopic dermatitis, and asthma, to understand their medical care and quality of life. The study will also analyze biomaterials to explore potential correlations between immunological factors and the clinical presentation of these disorders. This long-term observational study seeks to establish a comprehensive registry across Germany for better management of atopic diseases.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients aged 6 and older with moderate to severe atopic disorders who are set to receive biologic systemic therapy and have at least one additional atopic condition.
Not a fit: Patients with fewer than two atopic disorders or those who are non-compliant, pregnant, or breastfeeding may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved treatment strategies and enhanced quality of life for patients with atopic disorders.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in establishing registries for chronic conditions, suggesting that this approach could yield valuable insights into atopic disorders as well.
