What this trial studies
This observational registry collects data on patients with end-stage renal disease and related cardiovascular conditions. It aims to understand the relationship between chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular mortality, particularly focusing on how treatment approaches differ for these patients. The study will include adults aged 16 and older who are referred to the Nephrology team, and it will analyze the treatment patterns and outcomes in this high-risk population. No informed consent will be required as patients will be automatically included in the database for research purposes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 16 and older with chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular issues.
Not a fit: Patients under 16 years of age will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved treatment strategies for patients with kidney disease and cardiovascular complications.
How similar studies have performed: While there is existing literature on the treatment of cardiovascular disease in chronic kidney disease patients, this specific registry approach may provide novel insights into treatment patterns and outcomes.
