Registry for patients with acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel occlusions
Triage of Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke Due to Large Vessel Occlusions-2 (TRACK-LVO-2): an Imaging-based Patient Registry Study
This study is collecting information from patients with acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel blockages to see if a special treatment works better than standard care.

What this trial studies
This observational registry aims to collect data from patients admitted with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to large vessel occlusions (LVO) across multiple centers. It will compare the effectiveness of endovascular therapy (EVT) and best medical management (BMM) in treating these patients. The study will gather demographic information, imaging characteristics, and treatment outcomes to identify optimal imaging modalities for LVO detection and assess the prognosis of patients receiving different treatments. The findings are expected to enhance the understanding and management of LVO in AIS patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke and confirmed large vessel occlusion.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have a confirmed diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke or large vessel occlusion may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved detection and treatment strategies for patients suffering from acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusions.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in using observational registries to improve treatment outcomes for stroke patients, making this approach promising.
