Registry for patients with acute ischemic stroke caused by large or medium vessel occlusion
The Multicenter, Prospective, Real-world Registry of Acute Ischemic Stroke With Large- or Medium-vessel Occlusion
This study is creating a registry to track and learn from 50,000 patients with acute ischemic stroke caused by large or medium vessel blockages to see how different treatments work in real life.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a comprehensive registry of patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke due to large- or medium-vessel occlusion. Over a period of 10 years, the study will enroll approximately 50,000 patients across 30 centers in China to observe real-world treatment options and assess the safety and efficacy of various treatment strategies. The data collected will help inform clinical practices and improve patient outcomes in acute ischemic stroke management.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke due to large- or medium-vessel occlusion.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have a diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke or those with other types of strokes may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance understanding of treatment effectiveness and safety, leading to improved care for patients with acute ischemic stroke.
How similar studies have performed: Other observational registries have shown success in improving treatment strategies for acute ischemic stroke, indicating that this approach is promising.
