What this trial studies
This registry collects clinical and management data from patients treated for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) across various hospitals in Switzerland. It aims to assess the current standard of care and patient outcomes, including neuropsychological assessments. By pooling data into a common database, the registry serves as a critical tool for healthcare providers to evaluate care quality and foster scientific collaboration on aSAH management. The initiative seeks to recruit all aSAH patients in Switzerland to provide a comprehensive assessment of incidence and treatment outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this registry are patients admitted with a confirmed diagnosis of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Not a fit: Patients with unidentified sources of hemorrhage or those with subarachnoid hemorrhage from causes other than cerebral aneurysms may not benefit from this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance the quality of care for patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage by providing valuable insights into treatment outcomes and management practices.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is observational and builds on existing data collection methods, it is novel in its comprehensive national scope for aSAH management in Switzerland.
