What this trial studies

The Institutional Registry at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires enrolls adults with WHO Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension using 2022 ESC/ERS hemodynamic criteria. It combines prospectively enrolled incident cases with prevalent HMO patients who were diagnosed before the registry began. Clinical, hemodynamic, treatment, and outcome data are recorded to characterize disease course and real‑world management. As an observational single‑center registry, it does not assign interventions but documents routine clinical care.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Adults (≥18 years) with WHO Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension who are entered in the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires institutional registry and meet the center's hemodynamic criteria.

Not a fit: Patients who had a lung transplant before baseline or who are not treated at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (or do not meet the hemodynamic criteria) are unlikely to benefit from participation.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the registry could improve understanding of local disease patterns and treatment outcomes to help guide better care for patients with PAH.

How similar studies have performed: Other national and international PAH registries have successfully provided important epidemiologic and outcome data, so this approach is well established.
