What this trial studies

This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of a data-driven individualized exercise prescription aimed at enhancing gait patterns in individuals who have experienced a stroke. Participants will undergo 12 supervised exercise sessions over six weeks, receiving either a data-driven or conventional exercise program tailored to their specific gait impairments. Assessments will be conducted at baseline and after six sessions to measure improvements in motor recovery, gait speed, balance performance, and community integration. The approach utilizes various exercise modalities and is supervised by experienced research assistants.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 45 to 75 who have had a stroke more than six months prior and can walk independently.

Not a fit: Patients with uncontrolled medical conditions or significant cognitive impairments may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve walking ability and overall quality of life for stroke survivors.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promise in using individualized exercise programs for stroke rehabilitation, suggesting potential success for this approach.
