What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) program aimed at improving physical activity levels in patients suffering from chronic low back pain. The program is based on a biopsychosocial model, recognizing that pain is influenced by various factors beyond just physical injury. Participants will use activity monitors and complete questionnaires to objectively measure changes in their physical activity following the educational intervention. The goal is to provide a non-drug approach to managing chronic low back pain and enhancing overall health.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 with chronic low back pain lasting more than three months who are participating in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation program.

Not a fit: Patients with comorbidities that limit mobility, current psychiatric issues, or those who do not understand French may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve physical activity levels and pain management for patients with chronic low back pain.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive effects of Pain Neuroscience Education on pain perception, but this specific approach to measuring physical activity is novel.
