What this trial studies

This project implements a tailored online physical activity program called IMPACT for children and adolescents aged 5-18 diagnosed with oncological or hematological diseases. The program aims to enhance the well-being of these youth by promoting physical activity during their treatment. It employs a single-group, mixed-methods approach to assess the effectiveness of the program and explore implementation markers. Participants will engage in physical activity sessions with the presence of a caregiver to ensure safety.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include children and adolescents aged 5-18 currently receiving treatment for any oncological or hematological diagnosis.

Not a fit: Patients who have completed all treatment for their diagnosis more than 3 months ago may not benefit from this program.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the physical and mental well-being of young patients undergoing treatment for cancer.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with physical activity interventions in pediatric oncology, suggesting this approach has potential for success.
