What this trial studies

This interventional study enrolls researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Montefiore network, and other US CTSA-affiliated sites to receive a single-session eLearning module or control. Participants complete baseline and follow-up surveys measuring Knowledge, Attitudes, and Perceptions (KAP) about including adults with disabilities in health research. The team uses quality-assured online data collection and requires a valid US institutional email for participation and compensation. Results will compare pre-post changes in KAP between the eLearning and control groups.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal participants are adults (≥18) who have conducted non-disability-focused research with adults in the past three years and who can use a valid US institutional email at a CTSA-affiliated center.

Not a fit: People with disabilities enrolling for direct clinical benefit are unlikely to gain personal medical improvements from this education-focused project.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the training could increase inclusion of adults with disabilities in health research, producing findings more relevant to their needs and improving future care.

How similar studies have performed: Brief eLearning interventions have shown modest success reducing provider bias in other settings, but evidence specifically targeting researcher inclusion of people with disabilities is limited.
