What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on patients who have undergone nephroureterectomy surgery for upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma. It aims to collect both prospective and retrospective data on oncological relapse, clinical progression, and quality of life, including psychological and sexual health aspects. A dedicated database will facilitate secure data extraction for statistical analysis, enhancing the understanding of patient outcomes and informing future therapeutic strategies. The study will utilize clinical reports from patients treated since 1987 to enrich the data set.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with upper tract urothelial cancer who are indicated for nephroureterectomy surgery.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those without a diagnosis of upper tract urothelial cancer will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve patient care and treatment strategies for those with upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in observing quality of life and relapse in cancer patients, making this approach both relevant and supported by existing literature.
