What this trial studies
This study aims to establish a standardized nutritional intervention for pediatric patients diagnosed with solid tumors. It involves a nutrition support team that includes dietitians, nutritionists, clinicians, and nursing staff to provide tailored nutritional management. The effectiveness of this intervention, including short peptide-based enteral nutrition, will be evaluated to improve the nutritional status of these children. Data on dietary intake, nutritional status, and clinical outcomes will be collected throughout the study.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children aged 0-18 years with a pathological diagnosis of malignant solid tumors who have not yet received treatment.
Not a fit: Patients with non-malignant tumors or those who have already started treatment may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly enhance the nutritional health and overall treatment outcomes for children with malignant solid tumors.
How similar studies have performed: While there is ongoing research in nutritional interventions for pediatric oncology, this specific approach to standardized nutritional management is relatively novel.
