What this trial studies

The Y-PRIME initiative aims to address the lack of mental health support for youth in Vietnam by co-designing a mobile app that delivers life skills and self-management interventions. This app is tailored specifically for grade 10 students and is developed in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Advisory Council to ensure cultural relevance. The study will assess the app's effectiveness in improving mental well-being and resilience while reducing stress-related factors among participants across three provinces. By leveraging digital health approaches, the study seeks to provide accessible mental health resources to a population with limited support.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are grade 10 students enrolled in participating secondary schools in Vietnam who have access to a smartphone.

Not a fit: Students who are not in grade 10, do not attend the participating schools, or lack access to a smartphone may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this initiative could significantly enhance mental well-being and resilience among Vietnamese youth, providing them with essential skills to manage stress and improve their overall mental health.
