What this trial studies
The Pennington Center Longitudinal Study aims to create a cohort of volunteers to be monitored over time for changes in health behaviors and the emergence of health problems. Utilizing data collected over the past two decades at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, this observational study will conduct cross-sectional analyses and prospective follow-ups on various health-related outcomes. Participants will provide blood samples for risk factor assessment, which will be stored for future studies that may require them. The study leverages existing clinical data to enhance understanding of health trends in the population.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years or older who are willing to volunteer for long-term health monitoring.
Not a fit: Patients who are younger than 18 years or pregnant will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into health behavior changes and the development of health problems, ultimately guiding preventive measures and interventions.
