What this trial studies

This study aims to implement and evaluate a community-based lifestyle intervention designed specifically for Palestinian women living in East Jerusalem, integrating leadership skills training into the established Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). The intervention consists of 22 sessions led by professionals, focusing on nutrition, exercise, and mental health support, tailored to the cultural and social context of the participants. The first phase will assess the impact of leadership training on maintaining health behaviors, while the second phase will shift focus to resiliency training without the leadership component. The goal is to empower women and foster community support to improve long-term health outcomes.
