What this trial studies
This observational cohort study aims to gather data from patients diagnosed with various kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease and diabetic nephropathy. It involves multiple centers globally and focuses on both new and existing patients. Participants will have regular check-ups with physicians at participating sites, allowing for comprehensive data collection on their health status and treatment outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals aged 2 years and older with a documented diagnosis of primary kidney disease and an eGFR greater than 15 ml/min/1.73m2.
Not a fit: Patients with a life expectancy of less than 6 months or those currently receiving renal replacement therapy may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of kidney diseases and improve patient management strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other observational studies in kidney disease have shown success in improving patient outcomes and understanding disease progression.
