What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating HPV vaccination into adolescent health services for increasing vaccine uptake among girls aged 10-13 in Laos. It will assess the impact of this integration on the utilization of other health services among both boys and girls in the same age group. The study will also explore barriers and facilitators to implementing this combined intervention and gather opinions from adolescents, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The research will be conducted over a period of nine months in selected districts.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are 10-13-year-old boys and girls, particularly those attending randomly selected schools or living in remote villages.

Not a fit: Patients younger than 10 or older than 13 years will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly increase HPV vaccination rates and improve overall adolescent health services in Laos.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success with integrated health service approaches, but this specific integration in Laos is relatively novel.
