What this trial studies
This study investigates how physical activity and motivational counseling can affect fertility and pregnancy outcomes among women trying to conceive. It aims to determine the relationship between physical activity levels and fecundability, spontaneous abortion rates, and other birth outcomes such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. The study will utilize activity trackers and motivational conversations to encourage women to maintain or increase their physical activity during the preconception period and early pregnancy. A web-based platform will be used for recruitment and data collection.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18-49 who are in a relationship and actively trying to conceive.
Not a fit: Patients who are using birth control, receiving fertility treatment, or have been trying to conceive for more than six months may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide evidence that increased physical activity improves fertility and reduces pregnancy complications.
