Identifying predictors and outcomes in Myasthenia Gravis

Predictors and Prognostic Factors of Myasthenia Gravis Outcome

Assiut University · NCT05214612

What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on characterizing the clinical features and frequency of different subgroups of Myasthenia Gravis (MG), an autoimmune disease affecting the neuromuscular junction. It aims to identify predictors of treatment responsiveness by assessing changes in MG scales over a three-month period and monitoring treatment-related adverse events. The study will also evaluate the prevalence of refractory MG cases to better understand disease relapse trends and optimize management strategies.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 16 years and older with a clinical diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis.

Not a fit: Patients under 16 years of age or those with chronic psychiatric or neurological disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment strategies and outcomes for patients with Myasthenia Gravis.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on Myasthenia Gravis, this particular approach focusing on predictors and prognostic factors is relatively novel.
