What this trial studies

This observational study aims to identify factors associated with improved quality of life and reduced symptoms in individuals with Parkinson's disease and related conditions. Participants will complete online surveys every six months for five years, providing information about their health, dietary habits, and lifestyle practices. The goal is to describe medication, diet, and lifestyle patterns linked to high quality of life and minimal disease progression. The study will not provide direct care but seeks to gather valuable data for future assessments of complementary and integrative practices.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonism, or related syndromes who are willing to participate in long-term online surveys.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable or unwilling to complete the required surveys every six months may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify lifestyle and dietary factors that contribute to better management of Parkinson's disease symptoms.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored lifestyle factors in Parkinson's disease, this specific approach focusing on modifiable variables is relatively novel.
