Identifying biomarkers in parkinsonian syndromes
Prospective, Observational Study to Identify Biomarkers in Parkinsonian Syndromes

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to identify biomarkers in patients with parkinsonian syndromes, including Parkinson's disease and related conditions. Patients in the early stages of these diseases will be recruited and followed for at least five years to collect imaging, wet biomarkers, and clinical data. The goal is to establish a clearer understanding of the disease progression and potential diagnostic markers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals diagnosed with parkinsonism within the last two years, as well as healthy individuals without neurological diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with drug-induced parkinsonism or other specific metabolic conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic tools and treatment strategies for patients with parkinsonian syndromes.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in identifying biomarkers for Parkinson's disease, suggesting that this approach could yield valuable insights.
