What this trial studies
This project focuses on using immersive virtual reality (IVR) technologies to enhance emotional regulation skills in school-aged children and adolescents. By engaging participants in gamified cognitive training and nature exposure relaxation, the study aims to improve their ability to manage emotions and reduce the risk of developing anxiety and depression. The approach leverages the interactive and engaging nature of IVR to make cognitive training more accessible and effective for young people. Participants will be involved in activities designed to enhance their executive functions, which are crucial for emotional regulation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are school-aged children and adolescents between the ages of 10 to 16 who can provide consent to participate.
Not a fit: Patients with severe psychiatric disorders or neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as those with significant physical or sensory impairments, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve emotional regulation skills in children, potentially reducing the incidence of anxiety and depression.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using virtual reality for cognitive training and emotional regulation, indicating that this approach may be effective.
