What this trial studies

This observational study follows children who participated in the TEMPO study during their first year of life to assess the development of allergies and infections as they grow. The study aims to understand the relationship between their infant feeding patterns, including the consumption of infant formula and human breast milk, and subsequent health outcomes. Participants will complete self-administered questionnaires to provide data on their health status. The findings may help inform future guidelines on infant nutrition and health.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children who completed the TEMPO study and whose parents consent to participate in the follow-up.

Not a fit: Patients whose parents do not have access to the necessary technology for participation may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into how early feeding practices influence the risk of allergies and infections in childhood.

How similar studies have performed: Similar studies have shown promising results in understanding the impact of early nutrition on long-term health outcomes, suggesting this approach has potential.
