What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a new fast MRI technique called Neuromix in diagnosing brain tumors in pediatric patients compared to standard clinical MRI. It focuses on assessing the accuracy of Neuromix in depicting normal brain structures, tumor pathology, and incidental findings. The study will measure sensitivity, specificity, and agreement between different readers, while also examining image quality and artifacts. Participants aged 0-18 with suspected or diagnosed brain tumors will undergo both Neuromix and routine MRI on the same day.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are pediatric patients aged 0-18 with suspected or diagnosed brain tumors referred for routine MRI.

Not a fit: Patients who are undergoing MRI without sedation or those with unstable conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to quicker and more accurate diagnoses of brain tumors in children, improving treatment outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with advanced MRI techniques, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
