What this trial studies

This qualitative exploratory study aims to gather insights from women who have experienced preeclampsia and/or gestational diabetes (GDM) regarding their perspectives on health promotion programs. The study will identify their perceptions of support services, risks of future health issues, and barriers to adopting healthy lifestyle changes. Through interviews and focus groups, the research will inform the development of future intervention strategies aimed at improving health outcomes for these women. The findings will be used to create protocols and guidelines for health promotion programs tailored to their needs.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18-50 who are within 12 months postpartum and have a history of preeclampsia and/or gestational diabetes.

Not a fit: Patients with serious complications from preeclampsia or GDM, such as perinatal mortality or multi-organ failure, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved health promotion programs that help women with a history of preeclampsia and GDM adopt healthier lifestyles and reduce their risk of future health issues.

How similar studies have performed: While this study explores a qualitative approach, similar studies focusing on health promotion for women with gestational diabetes and preeclampsia have shown promise in improving health outcomes.
