What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on pediatric patients who have undergone kidney transplantation in four specialized centers in France. It aims to assess surgical management techniques and long-term outcomes associated with these transplants. By analyzing data from these centers, the study seeks to identify risk factors for surgical complications and improve overall graft survival rates in children with end-stage renal disease. The findings could provide valuable insights into optimizing pediatric kidney transplant procedures.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are pediatric patients who have received a kidney transplant at one of the participating centers.

Not a fit: Patients undergoing multi-organ transplants will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance surgical practices and improve long-term outcomes for pediatric kidney transplant patients.

How similar studies have performed: While pediatric kidney transplantation has been studied, this specific evaluation of surgical practices and complications in a French context may provide novel insights.
