What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effects of the Promoting Healthy Aging with Sport Exercise (PHASE) Programs on the functional capacity of older adults. Participants aged over 60 will be assigned to various tailored exercise interventions, including football training, multi-component exercises enhanced by gerotechnology, slow sports, walking, and home-based exercises, while a control group will receive no intervention. The study aims to assess the impact of these interventions on health status, physical function, psychological function, and cognitive function over a period of six months. Measurements will be taken at baseline, three months, and six months to determine the effectiveness of the programs.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are community-dwelling adults aged over 60 who are looking to improve their health and functional capacity.
Not a fit: Patients with contraindications to exercise training will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the functional capacity and overall well-being of older adults through tailored exercise interventions.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with tailored exercise programs for older adults, indicating potential success for this approach.
