What this trial studies
This national multicentric study led by the French Arthroscopy Society aims to evaluate clinical practices in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) revision surgery. It will collect epidemiological, morphological, operative data, and assess clinical and functional outcomes along with surgical complication rates. The study utilizes questionnaires and medical record data to gather comprehensive information on ACL revision procedures across multiple centers in France.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients who require revision surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Not a fit: Patients with multi-ligament injuries or those who have not undergone ACL revision surgery will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve surgical techniques and outcomes for patients undergoing ACL revision surgery.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies evaluating surgical practices in ACL revision have shown success in improving outcomes, indicating that this approach is supported by prior research.
